Jody Wood

Co-Founder/Acting Instructor

Jody is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City where he received a scholarship from the Drama League and was the recipient of the prestigious Charles Jehlinger Award for Best Actor in 1983. He was also invited to become a member of the prestigious AADA Acting Co. in 1983/84.

A working actor and the director of the JW actors studio in Princeton, NJ and NYC, Jody was a long-time member of the Improv Troupe, The Groundlings, which later became Gotham City Improv. Some credits include films such as LA Confidential, Halloween H2O, Rules of Engagement, Chronicles of Riddick, Mimic 2, and Boogie Nights. Television credits include recurring roles in Diagnosis Murder, ER, West Wing, NYPD Blue, and CSI Miami. Jody is probably best known for his recurring role as Detective Wallace Danby in David E. Kelley’s Boston Public for 5 years. He combines over 35 years of extensive television, stage, and film work with his business experience as a public presenter, host of national sales launches throughout the country, consulting with sales teams, management teams, executives, and nonprofits. He has conducted several successful Teambuilding workshops for organizations around the globe and has assisted many CEO’s and countless others to become more adept at public speaking. Jody has conducted acting, improvisation, storytelling, and communication workshops for several schools in the Princeton, NJ area including The Lewis School, PDS, Stewart, Chapin School, American Boy Choir, Johnson School, Robbinsville High School, The Pennington School, The College of New Jersey, and Princeton University. He was an instructor and director at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts NYC campus where he also served as an improvisation specialist. Jody is also an adjunct professor in theater studies at The College of New Jersey. He is also the Founder/Director of SKIT, Special Kind of Improvisational Theater, which conducts improv-based workshops for people with Special Needs, ASP, IDD, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Learning difficulties and Behavioral issues. The workshops help to allow students to learn and perfect better communication and social skills and to discover what is possible. He is expanding that effort in the Northeast. He has 2 grown children, Joe and Lucy, both artists. He is a member of the SAG/AFTRA and Actors Equity Association.

Stephanie Hall

Co-Founder/Vocal Music Instructor

Stephanie is a professional singer and music teacher with over 30 years of experience in musical theatre. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from The College of New Jersey, and is a NJ certified music teacher with 10 years of school experience.  She studied voice with Robert Guarino, Kenneth Querns-Langley, and Lauren Athey-Janka, choral conducting with Dr. Michael Mendoza, and theatre education with Dr. Robert Parrish.

Stephanie began her theatre career as Gretel in The Sound of Music at the age of 6, and continued to perform for the next 25 years in musical theatre and opera productions. Favorite roles include The Baker’s Wife (Into the Woods), Winifred (Once Upon a Mattress), Donna/Oolie (City of Angels), Vera Charles (Mame – 1999 Best Supporting Actress, Bucks County Playhouse Drama Festival), Polly Peachum (The Threepenny Opera), and Hanna (The Merry Widow). She performed professionally with Opera Festival of NJ (now The Princeton Festival). She taught as the Director of Choral Music and Theatre at Tohickon Middle School in Central Bucks, and Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, PA, and has served as Music Director for several local theatre organizations, including Town & Country Players (Bucks County, PA) and TCNJ Musical Theatre. Stephanie also teaches private voice lessons, and her students have been accepted to theatre programs at several prestigious universities, including Carnegie Mellon, NYU Tisch, and Penn State, and have gone on to professional careers on Broadway and with National/International Touring Companies. In her professional choral career with the Philadelphia Chorale, Stephanie has sung under the batons of many distinguished conductors, most notably Sir Simon Rattle, Christoph Eschenbach, and Stéphane Denève, and was a featured soloist in The Gladiator: Live at the Mann Center. She has had the privilege to perform at Carnegie Hall, Verizon Hall (Kimmel Center), The Wells Fargo Center, Madison Square Garden, and for the United Nations, and has performed with The Philadelphia Orchestra, Andrea Bocelli, and Chanticleer. Stephanie sings with the wedding band Class Act, conducts two choirs for North and Southampton Reformed Church (Churchville, PA), serves as a song leader at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville (NJ), and teaches parent-child music classes at Music Together (Princeton Lab School). She lives happily with her spouse, 2 children, and 1 adopted dog.

Lucy Wood

Acting Instructor

Lucy Wood is an experienced teacher with SKIT Programs, and has worked one on one with individuals pursuing their dreams as story or song writers.

Margaux Antoine-Montalvo

Set and Costume Designer/Instructor

Margaux is a NJ Certified Art Teacher, and currently works as a freelance set/costume artist.

Sarah Orfe

Acting Instructor

Sarah has a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and is an experienced actor. She currently works as the Director for the Music Together Princeton Lab School.
