Please prepare a one-minute monologue and 16-32 bars of any musical theatre song you feel best suits your voice. Memorization is encouraged. It is recommended that you email an accompaniment track ahead of time to info@grovepassage.org and include the timing of the cut, if starting in the middle of the track. You may also be asked to read scenes with other students in your same time block, so please plan to stay for the full block. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@grovepassage.org or (609) 474-6417.
Auditions will take place at the Hopewell United Methodist Church, 20 Blackwell Ave, Hopewell, NJ 08525. You must register to gain access to the audition signup page.
Please note – you may be asked to perform your monologue or song a second time with some direction requests. This is not a reflection on your performance- just a chance for us to get to know you a little better as a performer. We hope you’ll approach your audition with a willingness to experiment and have fun!
Photos will be taken of each student to assist with the casting process. These photos will not be shared outside of the audition and casting space. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring a printed photo or headshot if you prefer. Resumés are welcome but not required.
